Is 88 too old to serve in THE North Dakota Senate?
Senator Judy Lee has been in politics since the 1980s.
If re-elected, Judy Lee will be 88 years old while in office — nearly a decade past the age limit West Fargo voters said was appropriate for public officials.
At some point, experience becomes distance. We need leaders who understand today’s challenges and can represent the next generation of North Dakotans, not just the last.

TIME FOR NEW LEADERSHIP
That’s not a close call — it’s a mandate for renewal.
If voters believe 80 should be the limit, why would we send an 88-year-old back to Bismarck for another term?
It’s Time for New Leadership
Public service isn’t meant to be a lifetime appointment.
Leadership means knowing when to step aside so others can step up. It means passing the torch to people with the energy, perspective, and connection to today’s realities.
It’s time for Judy Lee to retire.
